General NFL Talk Empty General NFL Talk

Post by Kook Fri Mar 10, 2017 8:51 am

I'm surprised. Free Agency is in full effect and no one has posted about it.
I would've at least @brza37 posting about how he's jumping for joy or @warrior9674 mourning Andy Dalton's future health.
The Browns still have to overpay free agents but at least now they're signing the right ones.

I gotta say I really like what the Browns are doing. Solidifying their interior O-Line with Zeitler and Tretter (stole a page out of Kook's book). Then going with a full on NBA trade getting a 2nd rounder for taking on Osweiler's horrible contract is genius. I've been wondering for years when the NFL would catch on and make deals like that.

For the Eagles, I love the fact that they've gotten some real NFL receivers for Wentz to work with while also maintaining cap flexibility. Even Torrey Smith's contract has nothing guaranteed after year 1 so he can be cut any time if things don't work out. -I don't want to get my hopes up too high because free agency is generally fool's gold but Howie Roseman has done a great job so far. And now they're freed up to take advantage of the deep CB class in the draft but if a top WR like Corey Davis or John Ross fall to them at pick 14 they have the flexibility to take them anyway.

Dalton will be calling sick next season, Bengals were never going to pay two OL men 96 million dollars when they drafted replacements last year. .....even though they seem useless so far.

I personally can't wait to see what Jerry does with Romo. He was going to cut him the Texans bit the bait and what happens now is very interesting. I sincerely hope we get something in return.

Well, the really big news is the Bears have solved their QB problem by signing the unstoppable Mike Glennon  affraid affraid

And the Eagles get Alshon. @brza37  - if he's sober, he's great. if he's healthy he's great. If he's interested, he's great. Lot of ifs for 14 mill.

Patriots making so many moves in FA - ughh Brady has a deep threat weapon in Cooks, a potential stud CB in Gilmore, Kony Ealy paired with Trey Flowers to have some sorta pass rush and we replaced Bennett in Allen.

My only concern is losing Hightower but apparently he wants olb money which he wont get ANYWHERE, nevermind in New England.
