Hey

I just wanted to highlight this potential issue

I, and I'm sure a lot of others, use DL when assessing trades, trade blocks and many other items. Now I have noticed there seems to be discrepencies between the DL page for some players to the game.

For example Nate Solder. He's rated as 90 OVR on DL http://daddyleagues.com/smleurope/player/17932619/attributes however in the game when I began he was rated "only" 88 OVR. Also I think Gillisee is 83 on DL http://daddyleagues.com/smleurope/player/17932597/attributes but sure in game he's 81 OVR.

Now I know DL is a reference point for us and the game should be the main source of information/data. I didn't know if anyone else had noticed anything similar? If not maybe I'm been punished somehow lol! if others have the issue maybe could be worthwhile listing examples (I haven't checked the full team just saw a couple I had been reviewing) and had hoped after a few sync's of the app to the game from the commissioners then it might have improved however this isn't the case. If there are a number maybe its something @brza37 needs to log with DL support? I did check the DL forum and couldn't see anything relevant on this topic

I think on DL it's the true overall, in your CFM you see the scheme adjusted overall. There is sometimes a big difference.

Hmmm odd. I haven't changed my offence scheme though - surely that would be on the default for that team and generates best OVR?

I would personally not think a scheme would change an OVR like playing a player in a different position might? I'm not as knowledgeable at that side I guess

What @ParaAUT said. It's like the true overall shown in the main Madden Rosters.

For instance, a person looking at your team through "roster" in CFM will see how your players rate in their scheme. If they look at your team through "salaries" then they view how your players rate in your scheme.

Say I run a Cover2 scheme on D and you run a 3-4, the OLBs are going to rate quite differently! If I then use DL to assess the same player I'll see a DL factored true OVR irrelevant of the bias in our schemes.

Para is right. DL uses the true overall and in your CFM depth chart you see the scheme based OVR. I think if you go to roster you should see their true overall that matches with DL, at least it was that way in the past. I haven't looked this year.

EDIT: I was too slow but Para and Matt are right.

Cool thanks chaps - I haven't seen this before so thats why I raised it.

So from the formation screen I'm seeing the 88 for Solder but if I scroll to right, goto Team>Roster then Solder will be displayed as 90? Also if there is a drop off in OVR based on the scheme then I suppose I need to see about other schemes to lift the OVR back up? Am I allowed to change the scheme?

I'm not sure about Roster. I think Matt was right that the true overall is under Team>Salaries.
You can change schemes but there is really no need to. OVR doesn't matter, especially scheme-based. Changing the scheme just changes the way the OVR is calculated for the position. For example, if you set your WR 1 scheme to Speed then Cooks will likely be rated higher than he would if the scheme is Red-Zone Target but it doesn't change any of his ratings or how he will play in game or sims. And if you change the scheme you may see some OVRs rise but others will likely drop. Its really irrelevant for a user.

In summary:

Salaries - View players according to other teams scheme (Injuries view is other team scheme OVR too)

RosterĀ - View players according to your scheme not adjusted by position (DT2, MLB2, WR2 & 3 all seen under DT1, MLB1 and WR1 scheme)

Depth Chart - View players according to your scheme adjusted by position (So OVR of DT2 is DT2 scheme)

Depth Chart in game - True OVR (I think...)

DaddyLeagues - True OVR

Trade Screen - Like Roster, view player by your scheme OVR

Player Tile - Player OVR depending on your scheme (like roster)

Draft tile - True OVR (I think...), so you can draft a player at 82 OVR but changes in the draft summary and roster.
