The New York Jester - Week 3
Engines stutter but Jets manage to get off the ground
The New York Jets got their first victory of the regular season in a closely run affair. Indicative of two sides with struggles on opposite sides of the ball. The game finishing 19-16 with a late FG to give the Jets the lead and finally some stout D play to seal the victory.
Kyle Sloter had an impressive outing in his second career start. Although his numbers weren't as monstrous as the week prior, he was much more efficient in what he did with an impressive stat line (13/19 for 302 yards and a TD). Showing maturity that belies his lack of experience. He is of course helped out with his connection to fellow rookie superstar Bucky Hodges. Who had 5 catches on his way to another 100 yard game. The best of these coming from the Jets 1 yard line. His 45 yard pickup helped the Jets to get into a position for Kearse to get his touchdown.
The Jets remain in conference play this week with their first home game of the campaign. Hosting @DT15 and the Miami Dolphins. The Jets will look to be able to penetrate the apparent "Bend but don't break" mentality the Dolphins seem to have. With a highly ranked D in terms of points allowed, but lowly ranked D in pass yards given up.
- THE STATS:
- THE STATSJETS----------------------DOLPHINS22 -----EST SCORE----- 24FOR24 (22nd) -----POINTS----- 22 (25th)316.5 (4th) -----PASS-----180 (28th)94 (24th) -----RUSH----- 138 (9th)AGAINST37 (29th)-----POINTS----- 20 (7th)243.5 (16th) -----PASS----- 276.5 (21st)169.5 (28th)-----RUSH----- 80 (7th)
The rookie scouting kicked off this week also. HC Tucker is known for his tendency to favour offense above his D. Looking to outscore teams where possible and keep his TOP higher than his opponents. So it's no surprise he has earmarked his first round pick already. The rumours coming from the front office are that he is eagerly awaiting gossip from around the league to see who they like and dislike. Hopefully the jets can make some moves secure his new favourite prospect!

Cool write up yet again @fraseroliver17
I really enjoy reading these - interesting to get another HC perspective of their games and challenges they face.
Jets and Phins has all the hallmarks for a shit game lol

I'm sure the New England Media Office will be delighted to assist you with your request
By the time the game comes the power rankings won't reflect early season flukes but more true ability ;-)
