Good News/Bad News

The good news is that NCAA 13 arrived today

The bad news is that my Madden 12 skills are bound to suffer and there is a good chance my passing attack my get even worse lol!

Oh well, it might give me a head start on Madden 13!

Passing is sooooo much better with all the new trajectories and precision passing control. Shame there's still lots of little annoyances that EA should really have sorted by now. Still, it's a fun game!

Btw, there's a few spaces left in an online dynasty I'm in where we all start as Co-ordinators at 1* schools and try to work our way up

I couldn't turn it off last night (after Soxy whipped my ass on madden that is) but yea the passing is MUCH better. Also things like user controlled catches are much easier.

Hmm I'm intrigued, how does that work being co-ordinators? Do you actually play or just call plays? I'm trying to get my head around Dynasty, it's all new to me with this being my 1st NCAA game.

How much better is the passing guys? Is it a case of holding the button down longer or are there other elements involved?

Same principles as currently but the trajectory of the passes themselves differ depending on the route you are throwing to. For example in Madden if you throw a HB screen and touch pass it the ball lobs way into the air and takes too long to get there. So it forces you to bullet pass it so you can get the ball in time to turn and run. NCAA allows you to lob pass a screen but the ball is sort of side armed with touch and works so much better.

Just all around everything feels tighter, from receivers and DBs only catching balls that they are looking for so you have to time your throw depending on the route, so no more catches while never looking for it. Try the Demo, it'll give you a feel for it. My favourite part are the QB dropbacks, I struggle passing consistently and you just know by allowing the QB to auto drop back and set when to throw the ball. It sounds really basic and amateur but it's really good.
