Week 11 - Patriots v Panthers
Week 11
Patriots at Panthers
On a fine summers day the Patriots were on the road in Carolina facing a strong panthers side.
New England received to begin with and after trying to convert a 3rd and 2 their fullback fumbled, drastically, with the ball bouncing backwards and was recovered by Carolina and returned for a touchdown.
The following drive saw yet another fumble by a new England back which again was returned for a touchdown by a dominant panthers defense.
With the odds against them, the patriots began another drive, working their way into the red zone. What was looking like a strong drive ending suddenly after a poor pass was intercepted by Carolina. Carolina then drove down the field themselves to notch up another 7 on the board.
With halftime fast approaching, New England needed to get some points on the board, but after missing a 51yard field goal, and forcing Carolina to a 3 and out, the pats were again picked off in the endzone with the half drawing to a close.
Halftime 21-0 to Carolina.
The second half saw a dynamic New England offense come out to try and salvage something from the game. A resilient New England defense picked off Newton and set up the offense in good field position. The patriots were able to run it into the endzone to secure their first points of the game.
Fuelled with a sense of hope that the comeback was on, new England came out all guns blazing to try and force Carolina to another 3 and out. However this was to prove to be their undoing as an opportunistic Carolina faked the run and a speedy Newton ran 80+ yards for another TD (man I hate Newton!) . The patriots knew it was damage limitation now, and so battled on with a no huddle offense and managed to rack up another touchdown and a field goal with Carolina also keeping the scoreboard ticking over in their favor.
With a total of 6 turnovers, the Carolina defense proved too much for New England, who remain top of the AFC east, and must use the loss as a steep learning curve. The panthers, who are in a tough division, must use the victory to try and secure a wildcard spot for the playoffs.
Final Score Patriots 17 – 38 Panthers

Nice report mate. Was a cracking game. As said above, if it weren't for fumbles early on, it would have been a lot closer.
Head up and I am sure you will make the playoffs.
