Trading Timescales
Hi
I'll start by apologising for this in case I'm posting this in the wrong place
I'm still relatively new to this however I have noticed that with trades I'm part of and other trades the delays in getting these approved or rejected/countered is far too inconsistent in my opinion. There are trades that have been delayed in getting answers to and others that look like they get done fairly quickly I will happily update with links if required
Now this isn't a criticism in any way shape or form so please don't think that. I fully respect this is done in the commissioners own time and real life has to take priority. If a trade is been considered or discussed by the committee "behind closed doors" so to speak is there any harm in a little update reply just to keep both parties informed of the situation?
Ideally I think a trade in all honesty could be reviewed and accepted/countered/rejected within 24-48 hours of the original post.
There has to be a change to the process for the league though IMO. It needs to be a clear, consistent
and concise and with clear guidelines on timescale for the process for the HC's of the league!
I'm sure I will get shot down for raising this I just wanted to share my opinion, I'd be really interested to see what the thoughts of the other HC's are
Cheers

I just harass them and subtly bump my own posts up until they notice me

a polite private message always helps as well most of the time to the missing committee members.

We are all volunteering our time to run this league. We try to answer all posts as soon as possible. We have work, families and other responsibilities and cannot commit to a set process where all posts must be answered within a certain timeframe. Please understand that.
If some trades or posts in general get answered more quickly than others that is just chance. I don't play favorites and I don't discuss trades "behind closed doors" as that would be swaying the vote and completely against the reason we have a committee doing reviews.
Some trades are more straightforward and easier to review. Some happen to be posted at a time when multiple members are online and have time. Some trades/posts just fall off the latest topics list and get overlooked.
Also, the more arguments and issues we have to address around the league the less time we have for standard stuff which can also cause longer waits.
If you feel something has been overlooked please just kindly ask with a polite bump or PM.
Re: Trading Timescales
Firstly let me apologise Brza as I think you have read that as me trying to have a go at you guys and I assure you definitely not. I did say in my post that "Now this isn't a criticism in any way shape or form so please don't think that. I fully respect this is done in the commissioners own time and real life has to take priority" so I assure you that I'm not attempting to criticise or devalue the effort and commitments that you guys make to ensure the league continues to run smoothly.
For me it was merely feedback and suggestion and I didn't think that was I was saying sounded like I was creating an argument or an issue. I apologise if this is how you have read my post but that is not my method nor intentions.
