Watching Twitch Games

Hi all, i'm hoping someone can advise me on this. My problem for several months has been that i cannot watch any game streams on Twitch (either direct or from the league site links) because, what i thought was a problem with my iMac as i can't update it.

However, yesterday i saw the Vikings were playing and thought i'd see if i could watch it - and to my surprise i could. But, it turned out it was Hiero as the Vikes playing his league game in Eafl.

Today i tried to watch Eternal's Dallas but same old problem - can't connect, just the old hamster wheel going round and around!

So, logic tells me the problem is not my Mac but something to do with SML Twitch as Hiero's Eafl Twitch stream was fine.

Suggestions anyone?

I have no idea with Mac, but I had very similar problems with my Android smartphone without the app. I opened the stream and it was only loading.
I switched to the app and then it worked. Maybe you can take a look if there is an app for Mac?

@bishbosh1985 If you go to one of the channels can you you view any of the passed streams? Also have you been able to watch any streams from anywhere else such as YouTube?

Barty - i just went on your channel and it was fine (for historic games of course).

So, could it be that either 'live' or just 'live SML' streams are the problem? Or maybe the link off SML site? BTW, i use Chrome not Safari.

I suspect it's the live SML streams i can't view.

Weird! Have you tried selecting mine from the left hand side? What happens then? Could be only some channels

On the links on the left, you can right click and then choose open in new tab which might work- I know Apple doesnt have a right hand button but fear not read here http://www.wikihow.com/Right-Click-on-a-Mac

Sorry Bish to spoil the breakthrough but it is technically impossible that you can't watch streams because they are SML games. The link is the same whether people are playing SML, another league or even a different game. Must be just coincidence. Maybe the cookie clearance was the solution or possible it has to do with the stream settings. If some guys stream at lower quality you may be able to view them but not the high quality streams.
