A bit of a strange one but hear me out:

Shaq Lawson
Move from LE
Move to MLB

daddyleagues.com/smleurope/player/39972143

Moving a defensive lineman to inside linebacker doesn't seem like the most logical or realistic thing to do. However, Lawson is better suited to MLB than DE because:

- he has no pass rush moves of any kind
- he has good pursuit
- he has good tackle and hit power
- he has good block shed
- he has linebacker speed and athleticism

At 6'3", 260+, he'd be one of the biggest MLBs in the league, but his size isn't too dissimilar to a number of players already at MLB.

For example:
Tremaine Edmunds

CJ Mosley

Benardrick McKinney

Let me know what you think.
(For some reason, it's still not letting me post links)

I'm looking at Shaq and I see a DE that needs some game time and development

His block shed is ok and power moves just need improving (there are ways to help this improve I guess)

His zone and man coverage is too low to consider a coverage linebacker for me. I think his physical size is more suited to DE speed rusher for me (based on you using a 43)

In summary it's a no from me

I'm okay with a move to OLB and he basically is the base roster LEO who comes off the field in Nickel (or lines up at SubRusher). He's not a MLB in any stretch due to the coverage ability as Bartell said. You could base him at LE and still have him at LOLB in depth chart and try and level up his 71 power moves (but he has just hit the age 26 soft cap).

I'll do this then if other commissioners are happy for me to do so.

Play him at LOLB in base 3-4. Potentially play him at LE in 4-3 Nickel on certain snaps.

2020-2021 Season Scheme Declaration + Position Changes

This season I plan to play a hybrid defense running the NYG defense playbook. My base defense will be 3-4, and I will primarily utilise the Nickel Normal subpackage. Front seven starters will be as follows:

3-4 Base
LE: Oliver
DT: Wilkerson
RE: Suh
LOLB: Mercilus
MLB: Edmunds, Milano
ROLB: Hughes

Nickel Normal
LE: Mercilus
DT: Oliver, Suh
RE: Hughes
MLB: Edmunds, Milano

This will require the following position changes:

Whitney Mercilus: LE to LOLB

Shaq Lawson: LE to LOLB

Jerry Hughes: RE to ROLB

Ed Oliver: DT to LE

Matt Milano: LOLB to MLB

Also requesting one additional position change:

Kadeem Starling: LG to RG
