Re-signing Players Empty Re-signing Players

Post by Bishbosh1985 Sat Nov 24, 2012 9:04 pm

I checked the Bears roster and realised i have 39 guys to re-sign!!! How the heck does that work??????

Anyone else got any issues?

I assume we will be able to Franchise Tag a player - and i live in hope that i will et a chance to re-negotiate with my players who rejected original negotiations (i.e. Urlacher).

Re-sign isn't available to anyone right now. It will be available once we advance to the preseason.
Where are you seeing the expired contracts? Under Team Needs?

Yeh - team needs.

I also hear players who are 'unavailable' can only be F-Tagged - what you know Boss?

39 is pretty ridiculous. So you didn't manage to resign any of your guys during the regular season? Did you sign a bunch of free agents during the season? Players that are signed to one year contracts, like all FAs during the season, can't be resigned until after the season.

I don't know about the franchise tag Bish.

Well, i checked the salary info and counted all the guys on 1 year = 39.

I did sign some FA's but i'd still be over 30 so i have no idea how that happened - cant believe the Bears IRL would put themselves in that situation!

I didn't sign anyone during the season - apart from entering negs with Urlacher and he told me to swivel!!!

That doesn't seem right. Check these two links:
http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/8163278/nfl-bears-lions-jets-teams-face-major-2013-14-free-agent-decisions
http://www.spotrac.com/free-agents/nfl/chicago-bears/

I know under Team Needs there is a column "Expiring Contract" or something like that. See if you get a different count using that.

ok quick question ive Fran tagged one guy which basically eat up all my cap room now i have 290k to sign new FA and rookies - however i have cut some guys afterwards and said this will free up x amount in cap room but it hasnt increased from 290k. Will that increase on the advance of the week?

I know how you feel Bish ive just " Negotiated " with my players and the just told me where to go - that's loyalty for ya! At this rate im not gonna have a pot to p*** in for FA or the Draft!

I'm not sure Past but I'd think so. In the season I simmed I only had about $300k after resigning a couple players. I didn't cut or sign anyone during FA. Then after the draft I signed all my rookies and had $3.2mill free afterwards. I think the game reserves a set amount for rookies. Also here I have over $6mill free on the EA site but on PS3 it says I'm negative $1mill. On the other hand, it could be just another weird bug from EA so I can't tell you for sure if thats how things work or are supposed to work.

The CPU already has a certain amount stored for Rookies. If you go to Team Salaries it shows how much. I think its called Reserved Rookie Space or something.
