Madden 15 Info
The first screenshot for Madden 15 was released yesterday so I figured I'd start up a new thread for all info about the next game.
Looks like tatoos are finally back:
And the graphics look like night and day. On the left is XBoxOne M25 and the right is M15.

Re: Madden 15 Info
If game play looks anything like that I'll be well impressed.

Re: Madden 15 Info
Welp, it sounds like tatoo's may be limited to just Kaepernick:
I seriously, don't understand why this is an issue. The NBA shows a lot more skin than NFL and NBA2k has got nearly all the players true representations with tatoos. I know there are a hell of a lot fewer players to cover in basketball but still they have a lot more areas where tatoos show up and "artist permission" has never been an issue in 2k.
Regardless, the game looks a hell of a lot better. And I'm anxious to hear about the improvements to pass rush control and see the new pre-game and halftime shows:
Hopefully we get a ton of info and gameplay videos from E3 next week.
OS wrote:Kaepernick personally secured his own permissions for tattoos in upcoming "Madden." Not sign of broader plan.
NFL doesn't have a contractual ban against tattoos in Madden. Artist permissions have been issue, but Kap got his own.
For now, Kaepernick is the only player who will appear in Madden 15 with his authentic tattoos, because he's the only one who has obtained the permissions from the artists involved. "We want to do this with every player, frankly, and we're hopeful that more players over time actually go out and secure the rights so that we can use their tattoos as well," said Graddy.
“We want to be as authentic as possible, so we were pleased that Colin was able to secure the rights to the tattoos,” Madden senior producer Seann Graddy told ESPN.com. “There’s a ton of buzz around this. In this game, we only have Colin’s tattoos, but we’d love to secure the rights to the tattoos of other players in the future.”
This was actually a process to make this a reality. Kaepernick had to get the permission of artists Nes Andrion and Orly Locquiao, and then file the rights with the NFLPA who eventually brought it to EA Sports. Madden 15 will hit the shelves on Aug. 26.

Re: Madden 15 Info
From E3 today, looks like a heck of a lot of emphasis on defense, look forward to seeing more explanation on it.
EDIT: Also looks like the 'interactive sidelines' are still godawful, oh well. I hope you can turn off that oogly green cone thing too, kind of takes away from the sim aspect.
And is that 'defensive' camera angle real? Will get to see the game from the defensive perspective now?

Re: Madden 15 Info
Here's the first extended gameplay video:
Unfortunately, unlike years past EA is not allowing many offscreen videos to be taken at E3 so we may not see much more of the gameplay until it releases. It definitely looks better at first glance. I don't really like all the cones and Street Fighter style "PERFECT"s on the screen but I've read those visual indicators can be turned off. The fact that the celebrations happen in engine and not in cut scenes anymore makes a huge difference it seems. I also like how the players move around before the play. They don't look so static/robotic anymore pre-play. I like the focus on defense but hope that user pass rush isn't too overpowered now.

Re: Madden 15 Info
Yes the cones are horrible but like you say they can be turned off and there not used at all on all pro or all madden.
Also read you can change camera viwes In geme, ie if your running up middle you can zoom in or if your running as passing play you can view all 22 players.

Here's a new video with more info on the defensive side of the war in the trenches:
I hope you can turn off those button indicators but other than that it looks pretty good.

Re: Madden 15 Info
Here's more highlights on additions/changes to CFM though and a webcast on it:
- Confidence is new this year, and replaces hot and cold streaks. Really high or really low confidence is going to affect player ratings, all players start at a neutral 50 confidence level.
- Game prep will allow you to earn XP or increase player confidence from week to week, allowing you to practically choose whether you are a rah-rah coach or a down to business type of coach.
- CPU teams have extensive logic that determines what they work on every week. Bad teams will focus mostly on developing their players, while contenders will focus on confidence first and then earn XP if confidence isn’t an issue.
- Free agents now take much more than money into account when deciding to sign with you or not. Playing time, scheme, your coaching prestige and more will be factors.
- Draft classes are now random.
- Owner Mode is now much more challenging when it comes to making a profit, and teams with older stadiums in smaller markets may be better off building new stadiums or relocating altogether.
- You can now sim to points in the season, with an option to actually sim 10 years into the future.
- New screen to see how players progress/regress.
- Relocations are tuned way down and can be turned off.
- You can now fire your head coach during the season.
- The simulation engine now includes things like consistency, confidence and development. In Madden 15, young players with great development traits will have slightly better “simmed” stats than normal. This allows great young players to progress quickly and become stars in the league.
