Scoop McLeak's Mock Draft 1.0
This is the time of the season when all SML Head Coaches have one eye fixed firmly on the draft. The rookie draft can so often make a team a contender, or, if you get it wrong, destroy a fantastic opportunity to improve. It is often the highlight of my year grading each team after the rookie draft as i chuckle my way through a bottle of Jack Daniels sifting through the wreckage that some poorly prepared war rooms have caused.
Without further ado, presented below is my first Mock Draft of the season based on likely pick position and each teams need. Of course, needs can and no doubt will go right out of the window if THAT player falls to you unexpectedly.
Observe:

Obviously, there will be more trades but i've left the above list without trades already completed to show each teams dire needs.
Mock 2.0 will show all completed trades in their rightful form. Free Agency also will have a massive impact on draft targets as the post season shuffle begins.
The combine proved to me that this draft has best value in round 2, personally i think a lot of the first rounders are over-valued and the smart teams will be trading down to the 2nd.
Make no mistake, scout wisely and the teams who do well will be able to start a 3rd round pick - there are some sleepers just begging to be unearthed in the lower rounds too.
But be very careful, there are some guys slated to go first round, top 10 even, who could be warming a bench near you very soon!
Play hard, hit harder.

Interesting mock. Doubt the Bears will be going CB in the first round though!

I will be SHOCKED if NO ONE takes a RB before me. Not that I'm planning to.

Miami needs recievers?! I'd not even contemplated that, but now I feel like I should make it a priority :S
