M13 Draft - Season 1 preview

The pageantry, the glamour, the annoying presenters, yes folks, its Draft time!

So far this off-season, theres been no Mega Trades, no major moves in the trade world, and just a couple of free agents worthy of note. Seems Mike Wallace can now buy himself an ocean to go with his yacht!

Clearly, everyone is putting all of their hope in the draft - you know, the draft that no-one knows how to scout for, the draft that without the gold dust (re-named as XP) no-one has even the faintest clue who is worth drafting. This is the best part for me, watching all of those 1st round picks warm the bench during the coming season!

With that in mind, i thought i'd help y'all out and let you know my thoughts on how the 1st rnd of the draft will play out.

QB - interesting one this, Romeo will go early, but apart from the Raiders (or maybe Cards) i dont see a lot of interest here. Please, someone surprise me!

HB - Vikings should take a HB, just kidding. Straight race between the Cards and Lions. Not for the 1st time, the Lions wont win.

FB - Redskins would be mad to pass up Jacobs here.

WR - Ok, now it gets interesting. Mr Prendergast will go very early, the Cards, Giants and Packers all have a shot. He wont drop to the Raiders and certainly not the 49ers so, as the Cards need a HB i say NY could get him.

TE - Bears are desperate here and may well take a punt on one of 3 fine TE's in this class. Dont be surprised if the Bills come in too.

C - No-one usually 'wastes' a pick on O line, but the 49ers really should.

LT - Ignore.

RT/RG - Skins are pretty awful on the right side of the line and should go in for a T or G in the 2nd rnd.

MLB - crikey, Giants, Bears, and maybe even the Eagles will be battling here. Shame really, not much to get excited about.

OLB - Rams, Cards, Saints, Vikings and Eagles will be hovering. Saints only major hole so i take them to get the best OLB - unfortunately not a lot of quality at this position either.

CB - Everyone loves corners and this class is well represented at the position. I say Panthers move here.

FS - Ravens & Patriots MUST take a top defender in the 1st round.

SS - Cowboys and Vikings - can you resist the temptation of an offensive player?

I think we can expect the CPU to take a lot of the talent very early.

but you can forget about the vikings - my first 2 picks were traded to the bears. I will just spend a little money to fill my roster.
