Going Digital - Page 2 Empty Re: Going Digital

Post by Notorious_MH Sun Aug 24, 2014 11:03 am

When I was looking into this I did come across people having the amazon problem and it seems that some orders will slip through their nets but most will get blocked, I never tired it because it seemed a bit dodgey to me. I use pcgamesupply.com and have had no problems, you can pay by PayPal and they add the psn voucher code to your account within minutes.

Nice to see others are jumping on this, so just to clear some things up:

When you create a new or add your preexisting us account to your ps4, it gives you the option to make that ps4 system the accounts primary console meaning that all other accounts on that system will have access to the games downloaded from the us psn store. You do not need ps+ on the us account, you just use the account to buy/download from the store and then switch back to your UK account and the game/s will show up with all your other stuff. It's all entirely legit and as brza said you do not need to mess around with any DNS settings to trick the system. My one concern was that maybe the us version may look for us servers but after thinking about it I think it should be fine, at least I hope so cause that's the root I'm going to go, fingers crossed.

When will publishers learn that people are willing to go digital and all it takes is competitive pricing instead of just taking a dump on people!

I'll vouch for pcgamesupply aswell; used them twice and never had a problem but they do add on a fee afterwards so a $50 voucher states it comes to £29 but really its £33 or something along them lines.

I'm guessing Madden 15 is $49.99 on the US store, so £33 for the game roughly?

Tempted by this as I'll get it early and cheaper than amazon. Just want to make sure I won't need to buy more than just that one from pcgamesupply.

Sorry if this is already mentioned, I skim read most of the posts

Games in the US cost $59.99 so you'll need to buy two seperate psn cards to make the 60.

Damn, it seems I setup my PS4 to download games when in Resume/Low Power mode but I didn't set it to turn on :/ Don't know why they would allow you to set the download games option if the pre-requisite "Turn On" isn't set. Was hoping it would download before I go away tomorrow so I could take the PS4 with me and play a game or two in the hotel.

How many of you have downloaded from US store as I'm still debating it but will need to create a US account and then try and buy the codes.

I did - game's downloaded and unlocks early tomorrow morning. Thus far I'm able to load it on my UK account fine (it only leads me straight to a timer counting down to release), but we'll see how it goes once the game goes live!

Lol sorry about that, I was referring to the countdown timer until the game becomes active and playable.

Same here! Had to load it up first on the US account to unlock it, but played it through my normal account after with no problem.

Only thing I noticed was that it asked me to log into a Origin account the first time I loaded up which I didn't bother doing (just logged out of the US PSN account to log into my UK one) and its not asked me again. I'm not sure what difference it makes.

Did anyone get any bonus packs for MUT for either pre-ordering or from playing MUT previously?

You shouldn't as that's what we are planning to do here. I never had any origin stuff come up but that's probably because I'm already logged into it for fifa and previous maddens so it just logged me in no problem.
