Madden 25 Franchise - Which Console do you prefer?

Its that time of year again. Training camp and the preseason is in full swing, the Madden demo comes out tomorrow and the full game release is just around the corner.

If you’ve been following on the forum over the past couple months you’ve probably seen that some people are leaning towards waiting till PS4 comes out before getting Madden this year. As I said before though I am willing to do whatever the majority of the league wants whether that is starting a franchise on PS3, waiting till PS4 or having a franchise on both systems.

Please take a minute to respond here and let everyone know if you would prefer to join a Madden 25 franchise on PS3 in September or wait until the PS4 version is available (which will probably be end of October or early November). Please vote in the poll AND also post your choice in the forum so I know who is interested in rejoining the league. Only by posting your console preference here will you be able to reserve a spot in the league this year.

I'm easy either way, but i think a quick decision will be necessary for PS3 M25. It's all about numbers and bums on seats really, and as it's hard to guage how much interest there is unless people want to join/re-join the league and more importantly when.

Would it be worth putting up a list for guys to sign up then see if there's enough interest for a PS3 M25 or not? I know the above vote will show us what the 'regulars' think, but potential newbies may be interested but won't vote?

Good point Bish. I figured newbies could post here if they're interested but it probably does make more sense to start a new sign-up list for them just to be clear that we're also accepting new members. I'll do that now.

start with the ps3 season,to switch later to the ps4.

Hey Cam - nice to have a real NFL QB on board. Newton is one of my fave QB's in the NFL - behind jay Cutler, Rex Grossman and Jim McMahon! (Just kidding about Grossman lol).

PS3 for me. I will not be buying a PS4 right away and will likely wait a few months for the improved version

i would prefer the PS4 but i dont know if im gonna get the PS4 straight away
So my suggestion is that we should do it on the ps3 this yr.
Then once the new madden 14 comes out then do it then which will be around Aug next yr??

Now that Sony announced the release date for PS4 as November 29th has that changed anyone's opinion on whether they will get M25 for the PS3?

I was really hoping the PS4 would be released in October. Three more months is a long time to wait for my NFL video game fix. What do you guys think?

Im thinking of possibly buying it now for PS3 boss. ill know for definite after this weekend... i have a stag do on Saturday/Sunday and it all depends on how much i come back with

Nope, not changed my opinion, I'm still buyin the ps3 version and getting my Madden fix as the NFL season starts

I'm happy to get the PS3 version - 3 months is a long time - you could watch the film 9 & 1/2 Weeks IN REAL TIME and still have weeks left over to admire Jay Cutler.

What's up guys, the Notorious one is back, it's been a while.

Still haven't picked up Madden 13 from when I give up on it, I loathe that damn game. Anyway I thought I'd add my 2 pennies to this, personally I'm not bothering with the PS3 version, I have my PS4 and Madden 25 pre ordered so that's what I'm doing. Whether you guys wanna do a season on PS3 or whatever and make the switch is upto you. I'm getting a few games at launch so might not be able to dedicate serious time to M25 straight away. Anyway just thought I'd drop in say hi, hope all is well and I'm definitely in for a season on PS4.

So based on the responses I got and the poll here SML is done with the PS3. We did get a good response for next-gen though and should have a solid foundation for the league once the PS4 hits the market in November. We have 12 members already committed to the league on PS4, plus a few maybe's and I'm sure as we get close to the release date we'll get some more interest as well. Make sure to tell your friends and promote the league in whatever way you can and we'll have a full league to start off the next-generation of Madden.

Will we be looking at sliders again? I think it'd be a great selling point to sim gamers and by all indications with PS3 M25, it will likely be necessary,

Yeah, we'll most likely be using sliders again. It may take a while to get a good set though because I hope the game will play much different than the PS3 version so the well-known current gen sliders probably won't work for PS4.

Just as long as there's a 'slow AP down' slider i'm happy.
