I fear this "quitting game" issue may have screwed up my PS3. It now won't turn on properly, just seems convenient that the two issues have cropped up at the same time.

Just did it again when quiting but this time just got stuck turned on but with a black screen. Holding the power button wouldn't work like it usually does and cos the slim doesnt have a mains power button on the back i had to pull the lead out and i HATE doing that. I do fear that this is going to end badly.

Tru11, does that really work? You press the playstation button in game, sign out and then quit?

Just tried it out and it works, thanks Tru11.

There is a thread about it on operation sports and apparently virtually everyone is experiencing it. Before quiting the game, short press the ps button, move to account management and press triangle, then select sign out. Now quit the usual way and it works. I can live with gameplay bugs but this is beyond a joke and if it bricked your Playstation you try and get a new one out of EA, you'd have no chance!

Just played another community game and the play speed was veeery slow for both of us. So painful in fact I won't bother with any more community games for now.

i find the speed perfect. Even with lag in my pre season game the game speed itself was fine.

If anything I find speed on community games too fast, but that'd be a very minor complaint, it does me just fine.

i had my first preseason game tonight against the texans ... and im a little bit speechless ... because the recievers dropping to many passes in my oppinion ... with brees i had a 35% completion rate and with my backup i had 1? completed pass (if i remember right) ... normally i have a completion rate between 60% and 70% sometimes under 60%

next game i will try to play with my CB and OLB as reciever because the CB and OLB from the texans catched the ball much better then my recievers

have someone the same problems? is it a problem with the slider or with my gamestyle?

I've had games like that Ryan - i think its just the way it goes sometimes. Then other games you throw for 400+ yards!

Does anyone know how i can set play call type to conventional in our CC? It is set to that as my default in my main file but when practising and playing it goes back to gameflow but i can pause the game and change it there. surely this must be doable somewhere apart from during a game?

i had my first game today against pooky and it was a good game with a bad connection.

I dont know if it was the connection but the game speed in this game was bit too slow

Unfortunately it can't be changed. I have had conventional in league settings & my personal settings the entire time but it doesn't work in ccm. Just another one of the many annoying bugs.

Ok thanks, as long as there wasn't something I was missing then I don't mind, it is annoying though. I guess it's handy for field goals and punts but for everything else it is useless, just another menu to slow you down.

uslafc needs to change his coach regardless of how active he will be. You cannot use pre made coaches in this league as far as I know....

I am very disappointed. This game was supposed to be Madden's return to form but right now I am very disappointed with it. Just played my first CC user game against Pastinator who played a great game but on my end from the intro the game was unplayable, it wasn't just ridiculously slow, it was just a constant lag. Now you will probably see the score and say this is just sour grapes from me and don't get me wrong I am pretty pissed off. Not because of the score though, I have no problem with guys who play fair but John Madden might as well of bent me over my sofa and ass raped me and that would of been more enjoyable and a better use of my time, in fact he HAS raped me by selling me an unfinished game for full price.

Here's my beef with this PoS of a game.

Every play call screen lagged, badly.
When the players were walking to the LoS they did it in slow motion, literally. This continued once the ball was snapped. The only plays that didn't lag massively were the kick returns.
If you haven't experienced this then the way I can explain it is remember the online lag you would get from time to time in Madden 12, the bad lag not the normal lag. Well the WHOLE game was just like that, like it was in slow motion. It is just impossible to play like that. Lag wasn't the only problem though.

Pastinators 2nd TD came off of the dumb ass D line coverage bug, I instinctively tried to swim past the O lineman and bang, WR WIDE OPEN. Why hasn't this been patched yet?
Everytime my QB got touched he coughed it up. My HB coughed it up. Defensive INT's where the mo' fo' Db wasn't even good damn looking. But my Db's couldn't even stay within the same post code as the niners receivers. It was like playing M12 all over again but in slow motion.
I have a 50mb connection so I can't see it was me and Pastinator didn't really experience much lag so I've no idea what caused it.

Words really cannot sum up how pissed off I am with this useless game. All I can say is I give everyone notice right now, every user game from now on if I get into it and it's unplayable due to the lag then I am just going to quit and let you play the cpu. If every game was like the one I just played i'd happily NEVER play this game again. When it runs smooth it's good but when it doesn't it's a disgrace.

The saddest thing is that NCAA is the same game but without the impact engine and that runs as smooth as butter online EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

this game will prbaly run smooth when we go next gen and they start over again.

it might be a server issue but i suggest youhave your ps3 in a DMZ zone.

it usually runs better then and solves most connection problems.

just dont go serve to stupid sites orso on ps3 and you will be fine.

DMZ zone? I just googled it and didn't fully understand it. Is it a good thing or bad thing? I don't have any problem with other games either.

Whilst I'm here 2 more things that annoyed the shit out of me. First I missed a FG wide which I have never done in any Madden I don't think, I've missed short but not wide. The reason? Kicking meter showed a strong cross wind so I compensated for it with the direction of the kick which was from around 40 yards out and the ball wasn't affected AT ALL by the wind and it missed.
Second, I passed the ball to my WR inside the 5 yard line on a short hitch route, he had time to turn and walk it in but he just wouldn't respond and even started running parallel with the goaline for a brief second before he was tackled. Total bull shit. The game is more of a joke than the replacement officials making that BS call on the last play of the Packers Seahawks game lol.

Well DMZ will take your ps3 from behind the firewall of the modem.

It should give you 0 issues of people connection to you and thus should limit connections issues i think.

i know i have less trouble playing any game and same with lagg and such.

but im not much of a geek so someone just correct me if im wrong lol.
